Pope Clement VIII (Pope from 1592-1605) was born to the noble family in 1536. In 1605, the Romanesque wall-painting the "Aldobrandini Wedding", probably dating from the 1st Century AD, was discovered, and belonged to the Aldobrandini family; since 1818 it has been housed in the Vatican.
